London City Explorer

Let your journey begin…

London is the capital city of the United Kingdom and serves as a significant hub for various activities. It is the U.K.'s largest metropolis, known for its vibrant economy, extensive transportation networks, and rich cultural heritage. London is also notable for being among the oldest of the world's great cities, with its history spanning nearly two millennia, showcasing a remarkable evolution that reflects changes in society, architecture, and the arts over the centuries.

Our itinerary today includes the following:

  • Cruise Terminal pick-up - We look forward to meeting you at 08:00am.

  • London City - You will have approximately five hours to explore on foot some of England’s most iconic landmarks, allowing you the opportunity to take in the rich history and stunning architecture that these sites have to offer.

  • Go inside Tower Bridge -Just by taking a leisurely stroll over Tower Bridge, you can already enjoy fantastic views of this stunning and iconic London landmark. However, for a truly unique and memorable experience, I highly recommend making a visit inside Tower Bridge to explore its fascinating exhibitions and enjoy even more breathtaking perspectives.

  • Climb the Monument to the Great Fire of London - Want to see London’s iconic skyline from a different and unique perspective? Then I challenge you to take on the exhilarating experience of climbing the 311 steps of the magnificent spiralling staircase located inside the impressive Monument. As you ascend, do you notice that small golden crown perched at the very top? That’s the viewing platform, and from that vantage point, you can enjoy stunning panoramic views of the vibrant city of London.

  • Visit the Tower of London - The Tower of London is yet another significant historical site situated conveniently close to the renowned Tower Bridge, but thankfully one that is much easier on the calves compared to many other attractions. Over the centuries, various monarchs succeeding William the Conqueror have taken it upon themselves to add various extensions to the original structure of the Tower. Throughout its extensive history, the Tower of London has served a multitude of functions and roles. Most people immediately think of the Tower as the illustrious home of the Crown Jewels, safeguarded behind thick walls and guarded with utmost care. Alternatively, it is also often thought of as a notorious prison and a grim place of execution for many notable figures, including the unfortunate Anne Boleyn. However, what a lot of people may not be aware of is that the Tower of London was also once home to an eclectic collection of exotic animals. These creatures were often gifted to the monarchy by foreign dignitaries and royals, and the Royal Menagerie at the Tower of London housed a fascinating variety of animals, including tigers, lions, baboons, a polar bear, and even an impressive African elephant.

  • Enjoy FREE panoramic views from London Sky Garden - This is actually one of my favourite things to do in London, and it is truly an activity I recommend to most visitors who are exploring the city. Situated on the 35th floor of the iconic ‘Walkie Talkie’ skyscraper, Sky Garden provides breathtaking and spectacular views of the entire city of London. And the best aspect of this experience is that it’s completely free to visit, making it an accessible option for everyone!

  • Underground Service - You always have the convenient option, instead of the above-mentioned activities, to hop on a tube, which will take you directly to many more iconic attractions and noteworthy sites throughout the vibrant city. This mode of transportation provides a quick and easy way to explore, offering you the chance to discover new places while enjoying the efficiency of urban travel.

  • KEEP TRACK OF TIME! - Please be mindful of time when exploring the vibrant city of London. Time seems to disappear quickly as you indulge in its many wonders and attractions. The roads and motorways can be quite unpredictable, which makes planning your journey essential. Our primary aim is to ensure that you return to your ship promptly and without any stress. It is never a fun idea to imagine having to swim behind your cruise ship in a last-ditch effort to catch up!

  • Cruise Terminal drop-off - We aim to get you safely back to the cruise terminal before 17:20pm.

Complimentary bottled water will be provided.

NOTE: Not recommended for cruise departures before 18.30pm. It is possible to reduce the free-time to fit your cruise departure schedule, however you would need to contact us to arrange this in advance of the trip.
